Introduction
The College of Engineering of Yuan Ze University (YZU) is devoted to educating and preparing graduates for leadership in industry, government, and educational institutions; advancing the knowledge base of the engineering professions; and influencing the future direction of engineering education and practice.
Educational programs at the College highlight the understanding of fundamental principles; facilities with experimental, computational, and analytical methods; development of skills during the creative processes of engineering; and the development of a self-confidence and versatility of mind that prepares the individual for a lifetime of learning and professional growth.
The College of Engineering strives to provide the scientific and technical education necessary for both a satisfactory and productive engineering career. While engineering curricula are among the most demanding at the University, requiring careful academic planning to take full advantages of the many opportunities at YZU, we aim to strike a balance between technical sophistication and the social and cultural breadth demanded of engineers in modern society.
Faculty and Student Enrollment
The College of Engineering consists of a chair professor, 33 professors, 15 associate professors, 8 assistant professors and 1 lecturer.
In 2021, there are 1,757 students in the College of Engineering which includes 1,359 undergraduates, 331 master and 67 doctoral students.
